Freeport Exemption:
Crawford County offers 100% Freeport Exemption of ad valorem tax on all business inventory as defined by Georgia law. The law offers manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and warehouse operations an attractive inventory tax exemption on three classes of property:
*Manufacturer’s raw materials and goods-in-process
*Finished goods held by the original manufacturer
*finished goods held by distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers destined for out-of-state shipment.
Work Force Training
Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), Crawford Center, is located just outside the city of Roberta on Highway 128. The college serves students in Crawford and neighboring counties. The center offers adult learning courses for students to achieve their GED, Certificate and Diploma Programs and Continuing Education Programs.
CGTC is committed to helping Crawford County grow and build a Work Ready force. The school has partnered with the state and offers the Georgia Work Ready Certificate Program and Quick Start workforce development. CGTC will work with businesses locating to the area by designing a custom program to train employees for the skills required to make your business successful.

Our business incubator is located in Crawford County on Highway 341 North. Within our office, new businesses can rent space for a moderate price.
